Tomato Curry

Ingredients:
Ingredients - Tomato, Jeera powder, red chili powder, turmeric powder, salt. Not shown: onion, oil, milk, water |
- Tomato - 4 medium size
- Onion - 1 medium size
- Salt - 1 tsp
- Turmeric powder - 1/2 tsp
- Red Chili powder - 1 tsp
- Jeera powder [powdered cumin seed] - 1 tsp
- Oil - 2 tbsp
- Milk - 1/2 cup
- Water - 1/2 cup
Directions:
- Chop the onion finely. Cut the tomatos into 8 pieces each.
- Put the vegetables in a Kadai (shallow wide bowl-shaped vessel). Add the salt, turmeric powder, red chili powder, jeera powder, oil and water to the kadai and heat it on the stove at high flame. Mix it ensure all the powder is dissolved. Heat it until the oil separates - around 10 mins.
- Add the milk according to how thick/thin want the curry to be. Add salt and chili powder to taste.
- The tomato curry is ready to be served!

Serving Suggestions:
- Tastes best with rice and ghee with appalam and potato stir fry.
- Can also be eaten with curd rice.
- Tastes good with dosa as well.
