Ingredients:
- Fish - 1/2 kg
- Salt - 2 tsp
- Red chili powder - 3 tsp
- Turmeric - 1/2 tsp
- Jeera powder - 3 tsp
- Water - 1/2 cup
- Oil - for deep frying
- Mix the salt, red chili powder, turmeric and jeera powder to make a mixture. Add the water to make a semi-thick paste.
- Coat the fish with the paste ad set aside for 25-30 mins.
- Heat the oil for frying. The fish pieces should be able to fully submerge in the oil. Put the fish in the hot oil and fry until it turns golden brown. Flip once and ensure that the fish is cooked before taking out of the oil. The fish fry is ready!

Serving Suggestions:
- The fish can also be shallow fried on a tawa. Be careful not to break the fish while flipping.
