Jeera Aloo [Cumin Seed and Potato Stir-Fry]

Ingredients:
  • Medium sized potato - 4 
  • Capsicum - 1
  • Jeera seeds - 1 tsp
  • Turmeric - 1/4 tsp
  • Oil - 1 tbsp
  • Salt - 1/2 tsp
Directions:
  1. Dice the aloo and capsicum into medium sized cubes. 
  2. Heat oil in a kadai. Add jeera. Add the potato, turmeric and salt. Stir fry for some time. Add the capsicum and mix. 
  3. Cover with a lid and stir-fry in a low flame until the potato is cooked. Stir occasionally to ensure that the potato doesn't stick to the kadai. Jeera aloo is ready!
Dice the aloo and capsicum into medium sized cubes. Heat oil in a kadai. Add jeera, potato, turmeric and salt. Stir fry for some time. Add the capsicum. Cover with a lid and stir-fry in a low flame until the potato is cooked.

Jeera aloo is ready!
Serving Suggestions:

  • To make the jeera aloo spicy, pepper powder can be added.
  • Tastes best with chapathi.
  • Capsicum can be added if desired.
